There’s a definite mentality these days that it is absolutely crucial to be able to have everything now, with no time to wait for later. And while this might sometimes be a great approach, the “all or nothing” way of looking at some situations, especially on a tighter budget, can lead to some troubles with limits. After all, for anyone who is not able to shell out a bunch of cash at once to get a crucial piece of new equipment, there’s going to be a bit of difficulty dealing with the need for today with the reality of the present.
The good news is that there are plenty of different options out there that make it more possible to take advantage of the fact that time is of the essence, but without needing all of the financial resources to solve the problem immediately. In fact, it is now possible not just to lease a car, but also to lease a laptop. This means that the world of high-speed technology can belong to anyone on a payment plan, rather than dealing with the stress of waiting until it’s affordable or racking up serious interest rate charges on a credit card that’s already started to head a bit south.

I’ve been making music on my PC and Mac for years but I always felt that I could use a device for when I’m travelling. I really need something to capture quick ideas and moments of inspiration. Laptops were always a bit too expensive and to be honest a bit too clunky for me to be carrying around. That’s why I was so excited when the iPad was launched. It’s the perfect music making device thanks to it’s touch screen technology and light compact design.
So how easy is it to make music on the iPad? The answer to that is exceptionally easy! It doesn’t come with any music making apps out of the box. We’re still waiting for some sort of Garage Band port to come with the iPad as standard. However on the wonderful iPad app store there are literally hundreds of applications on there that you can use to make music on the iPad. Don’t forget that you can also buy applications for the iPhone which will work on the iPad. The graphics are simply sized up to fit on the bigger screen. I’ve had mixed success with this, some applications seem to port better than others.
