Thanks to the popularity and the success of the Asus Eee PC, this netbook series changes and evolves much faster than any other laptop models. The Asus Eee PC 1005HA now comes with a bigger hard drive and a new operating system.

The 10.1-inch netbook is powered by a 1.66Ghz Intel Atom processor, 1GB of DDR2 RAM and now comes with a spacious 250GB hard drive (an upgrade from the previous 160GB hard drive). Its 10.1-inch display is a LED back-lit display with a 1024 x 600 resolution. This model runs on the Windows 7 Starter (32 bit) operating system. Many other netbook models in the market still run on the older Windows XP operating system.

Despite the various improvements and upgrades made, the Asus Eee PC 1005HA still retains the many features that have made it an icon. For starters, its batteries on this netbook can last up to an astounding 10.5 hours on one charge. The keyboard remains very comfortable and it even comes with a set of stereo speakers with SRS surround technology. If the 250GB hard drive is not big enough, you can also make use of the Asus WebStorage feature that gives you an additional 500GB of online storage! Other great features include Bluetooth 2.1, 802.11b/g/n wi-fi and a memory card reader. Its seashell design is also very stylish, giving the netbook a very high-end look. Despite having some of the best netbook features in the market, the Asus Eee PC 1005HA has maintained its affordability. Currently, it retails for just around $371 per unit!

This time and age is proving that size really does matter, and the smaller, the better. Technology has been improving so much that soon, bulkiness will be a thing of the past. Traveling is so convenient when you don’t have to bring along big computers, and you don’t have to resort to renting outdated computers or having to lug around big PC’s just to do your work. Most of all, these netbook notebooks virtually have the same processors as the PC’s, and their speed are similar to the normal laptop, all contained within a 10 inches of space (and probably even smaller!).

Many would like to use the mini laptops simply for doing work while traveling. Asus EEE is one of the most famous miniature laptops that hit the market, and has continued to improve over time. It generally comes with a Linux OS, which may intimidate some of the users, but are generally easy to use. Besides, you have the option to switch into another OS, say, Windows Vista. This brand is one of the widely-known portable mini laptops that the market continues to rely on. They also recently released a Tablet version, where you can turn the monitor around for easier work.

MSI Wind is another one of the commonly-known mini laptops out there. It’s famous for balancing both the size-cute and small without being too inconvenient when it comes to the keyboards-while also running fast in its Intel processor. It usually comes pre-installed with Windows XP or Vista, which makes it one of the primary choices. It’s perfect for travel, since it comes with a card reader and 3 USB ports, making file-transfer easier.

Recently, other well-known laptop companies are getting into the race. They’ve taken their laptops and reformed them, making them smaller but better-equipped for the traveling worker. HP has just finished releasing the Mini-Note PC, which is a small version of their bigger laptop, and is small in its 9 inch display. One of the leading laptop brands Toshiba has also released their own mini laptop, and also within the 10 inch display limit. The great thing about this brand is that the touchpad hasn’t been compromised; instead, you’ll be able to continue using it as you would your normal laptop without adjusting and eventually hurting your wrists.

Nowadays, mini laptops and netbooks are being sold at a lower price, even lower than what you’d expect from the normal-sized laptops. If you’re only using your laptop for display, or to do some customary work while traveling, then you might be better off with one of these babies. They’ll make sure you stay ahead, especially since they usually have VGA or DVI ports you can hook to external monitor displays such as LCD’s or HDTV’s. A mini laptop will surely help you optimize your productivity if you live an on-the-go lifestyle!
